If you’ve shopped at a Whole Foods over this past weekend, you’ve stepped foot near our newest collaboration with Allegro Coffee and CTC International, a non-profit working alongside Kenyan communities and seeking to fund the ongoing operations of Cafe Ubuntu in Maai Mahiu, Kenya.
“[Cafe Ubuntu is] going to be about belonging, it’s going to be about interconnectedness, and coffee is going to be that centerpiece,” says Zane Wilemon, Executive Director of CTC International.
MiiR’s founder Bryan also feels the power behind the caffeine. “When Zane first approached us about partnering with CTC and Allegro Coffee, we were beyond excited about creating a unique tumbler for the Whole Foods customer that would benefit another culture of coffee drinkers. MiiR’s Seattle roots naturally fuel our passion for drinking great coffee, but we also want to better the world through coffee; this project reaffirms that passion, and it begins under one coffee house roof.”
For $15.99, you can pick up a limited edition MiiR tumbler at your nearest Whole Foods and directly contribute to Cafe Ubuntu.
Hail to the java.
